Euro PM2023 - Lisbon, Portugal 

STAR group member Sam Lister attended the European Powder Metallurgy conference in Lisbon, Portugal. The conference was organised by the European Powder Metallurgy Association (EPMA) and brought together researchers from academia and industry across the whole powder metallurgy spectrum. Sam gave a presentation on the topic of thermal gradients in large-scale and multi-sample FAST sintering. The full title of the paper is "A Microstructural Assessment of the Thermal Gradient during Large-scale FAST/SPS Sintering for Tall Samples and Multi-Sample Serial Stacking of Ti-6Al-4V Plates" and available here. The conference was a great networking opportunity and many interesting discussions around sustainability and powder metallurgy were had in the exhibition hall. Lisbon was a great city for a conference and the sun was shining throughout!
